Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to support bedside care under direct supervision. You will maintain a safe, hazard-free environment and assist with duties delegated to you during your shift.

Under supervision, you will communicate patient needs to the RN and Charge Nurse, ensuring patient-focused care and collaboration with the care team. This role emphasizes safety, respect, and teamwork.

Formación

• Completion of CNA training program or equivalent experience.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course or hospital terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License on hire; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe, hazard-free, clean patient environment and communicate patient needs to the RN and Charge Nurse.
• Assist with bedside care and shift duties as delegated by the RN or Charge Nurse.
• Support patients and families with compassionate, respectful care under supervision.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Completed training program for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA). Or Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience.
• Coursework/Training and Completion of Medical Terminology course required or successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
