Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center is a hospitality-minded facility seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our growing team in Ames, IA. CNAs provide care under the direction of the RN or LPN, perform charting, and follow safety procedures in a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain CNA licensure.
• Must maintain Direct Care Worker Registry registration.
• Able to assist residents in emergencies including evacuation.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with standards.
• Timely report any changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) per care plan.
• Treat each resident with respect and individually address them.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration; monitor intake and assist with dining.
• Keep resident rooms clean and organized.
• Commit to Person-Directed Care philosophy.

CNA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information.
