Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy Convent in Buffalo, NY is seeking compassionate caregivers for a small community of retired Sisters. Per diem roles focus on person-centered care with ample time for meaningful interactions, dignity, and relationship building.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, and daily routines in a calm, private setting, reporting changes to the Charge Nurse and maintaining a respectful environment. Prior CNA/NA/HHA certification and dementia care experience are required.

Qualifications

• CNA, NA, or HHA certification required.
• Dementia care experience essential.
• Experience in gerontology or healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork and compassion.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered care to retired Sisters.
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding.
• Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Monitor and report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment.
• Provide care with empathy, patience, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
