The Sisters of Mercy Convent in Buffalo, NY is seeking compassionate caregivers for a small community of retired Sisters. Per diem roles focus on person-centered care with ample time for meaningful interactions, dignity, and relationship building.
You will assist with ADLs, mobility, and daily routines in a calm, private setting, reporting changes to the Charge Nurse and maintaining a respectful environment. Prior CNA/NA/HHA certification and dementia care experience are required.

You will be caring for a small community of retired Sisters in a setting that values dignity, compassion, and relationship-based care.
Low patient-to-caregiver ratio

Time to build real relationships with residents
Provide direct, person-centered care to retired Sisters
Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding
Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
Monitor and report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment
Provide care with empathy, patience, and professionalism
CNA, NA, or HHA experience or certification required
Dementia care experience is essential
Experience in gerontology or healthcare preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and compassion
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Status: Per Diem (2 positions available)
Pay Range: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
