Job Summary

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Full-Time & Per-Diem

Location: Sisters of Mercy Convent, Nashville, TN

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour

Opening: FT 12‑hour shift 6am‑6pm. Sign on bonus offered for FT. As needed per‑diem all shifts.

This is the Sisters of Mercy Convent, a private residence for retired Sisters. We are not open to the public, offering a peaceful, relationship‑based setting focused on dignity, compassion, and individualized care with about 7‑15 rooms at a time. You will be supporting a small community of retired Sisters in a mission‑driven environment where caregivers are truly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the nurse in providing direct patient care
• Check and record vital signs and report changes in condition
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Observe, document, and report resident conditions and reactions
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and outings
• Maintain resident comfort, dignity, and safety at all times

Required Qualifications

• Valid CNA
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Geriatric/Gerontology experience required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional, compassionate, and service‑oriented

Preferred

• Prior experience in religious/non‑profit organizations
• Previous work with religious life strongly preferred
• Understanding and appreciation of the Sisters of Mercy mission and values
