Apple Rehab Ledgecrest in Avon, CT is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. Per diem and full-time shifts are available, with pay ranging from $20 to $23 per hour based on experience and shift. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, and paid time off. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill weekend shifts monthly and participate in emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification and be in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Document personal care given according to facility policies; observe changes and report to supervisor.
• Record temperature, weight, pulse and respiration; observe skin integrity and report issues.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Support residents and maintain cleanliness and safety in daily routines.

Job Opportunity:

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay:

Competitive rates ranging from $20-$23, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• 7a-3p
• 3pm-11pm
• 11pm-7am
• Per Diem

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
