Job summary

Preferred Care At Cumberland in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential care across inpatient and long-term settings. You will support nursing staff with daily tasks and help ensure the comfort and well-being of our residents.

In this role you will observe residents, report health concerns, assist with personal hygiene, prepare and document meals, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• State CNA certification required.
• Experience in inpatient or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including ICU if required.

Responsibilities

• Observing Residents and reporting health issues to the supervising nurse.
• Taking care of a Resident's personal hygiene, including bed bath, shaving, etc.
• Setting up meal trays and documenting food/fluid intake.
• Feeding Residents and serving nutritional supplements.
• Making beds and keeping the Residents' space clean and tidy.
• Transporting Residents within the Facility.
• Turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all Resident & Facility data.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
• State certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
