Job Summary:

Provides direct primary care health services to LCDF patients within the scope of laws and regulations. This position is a school-based position for Gadsden High School.

• Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be highly organized.

• Knowledge of and experience with the poverty level population and life-styles.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

• Ability to keep relationships with dealings with patients and resource agencies (in addition to formulation and implementation of appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans).
• Must be able to work and problem solve independently.
• Cultural competence with Hispanic population.
• Basic office procedures relevant to duties contracted for according to primary care.
• Effective communication and patient education skills.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed by the NM Board of Nursing to practice, or eligible for licensure.
• Board Certification in a primary care specialty.
• DEA certification.
• NM Board of Pharmacy certification.
• Must have a current NM Driver's License and current automobile insurance.
• Graduate from Nurse Practitioner program.
• Additional training in Primary Care preferred but not required, e.g., diabetes education, women's health.
