Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking per diem Certified Nurse-Midwives to provide high-quality, compassionate care for ethnically and culturally diverse birthing patients and newborns. The role offers clinic days (8-hour shifts) and L&D/Birth Center shifts (12-hour), with locations in Cambridge, Somerville, Everett, and Revere.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery, RN licensure in MA, and CNM certification.

• Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
• Birth center experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (NPR status).
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

• Provide full-scope midwifery care (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and GYN).
• Cover Clinic, Labor & Delivery and Birth Center shifts as assigned (per diem).
• Work across locations in Cambridge, Somerville, Everett and Revere.

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking per diem Certified Nurse-Midwives to proudly provide high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care for our ethnically and culturally diverse birthing patients and newborns.

Highlights

• Provide full-scope midwifery care (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and GYN) in Clinic, Labor & Delivery and/or Birth Center


• Per Diem: clinic days: 8 hour shift, L&D/Birth Center: 12 hour shifts


• Locations: Cambridge, Somerville, Everett and Revere


• MNA Cambridge Union position: ability to work 3 shifts per month


• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $64-$116 based on years of experience

Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree, are registered nurse licensed, obtained certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board, and ideally have two years of experience providing full scope midwifery care as a certified nurse-midwife. Birth center experience preferred as well as experience with newborns. Current Basic Life Support “C” certification and NPR status is required. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required. However, a commitment to caring for everyone, every time is essential.
