Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services within the Mother Baby Center network. The CNM collaborates with in-house OB and maternal fetal medicine specialists while supporting 40–50 births per month across three clinics.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required.
• AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required.
• BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support within 180 Days.

Responsibilities

• CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services.
• Midwifery collaborative support with in-house OB and maternal fetal medicine groups.
• Attend approximately 40-50 births per month with three affiliated clinics.
• "Natural birth experience" highlighting nontraditional care in the hospital.
• Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by ACNM and Minnesota statute.
• Professional Liability insurance including tail.
• Team of 16 plus CNM across the system.
• Collaborative, supportive and encouraging teammates.
• Opportunities for professional and personal growth—research, mentoring CNM and NP students, instrumental QI projects.
• Support whole person population health care initiatives.
• Casual coverage at United and Abbott Mother Baby Centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing required
• Master’s degree or doctoral in nursing or related field preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support required within 180 Days
• AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required

Physical Demands

• Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy)
• Up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay

Flat Rate: $72.00 per hour

*This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
