To provide ante-partum, intra-partum, post-partum and well woman care to essentially healthy women. To work collaboratively within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to provide care for patients at Saint Anthony Hospital and its affiliated outpatient sites.

Essential Functions

• 1. Provides outpatient and inpatient care, including ordering and evaluating of diagnostic tests and managing of procedures, including labor and delivery to essentially healthy women according to established clinical practice guidelines and in accordance with the privileges granted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 25%
• 2. Identifies deviations from normal and consults, co-manages and refers patients as appropriate according to established clinical practice guidelines and in accordance with the privileges granted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 20%
• 3. Provides well-woman care in the outpatient setting, including ordering and evaluating of diagnostic tests and managing of procedures according to established clinical practice guidelines and in accordance with the privileges granted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 15%
• 4. Provides individualized patient teaching and counseling utilizing midwifery philosophy. 20%
• 5. Completes all required documentation in a timely manner. 20%

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; associate’s in nursing; Bachelors preferred;
• Current IL State RN licensure and CPR Certification
• Team and customer service skills
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience. It is highly desired.
• Clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification and experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills
