Job summary

Novant Health's Thomasville Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department assistant to provide daily living support and maintain a safe, clean environment under RN supervision. This full-time position runs 7am–7pm and covers 36 hours weekly.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience (preferably in assisted living/long-term care), completion of the NA I program and NC nurse aide registry listing, plus Medication Safety - AME

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program; listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I; Medication Safety - AME; NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

What We Offer

Our Emergency Department is a 26 bed unit that specializes in providing immediate medical care for patients with server or urgent illnesses or injuries. It is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, emergencies, from minor injuries to life‑threatening conditions and potentially admission to the hospital.

Schedule: 7am-7pm, Full-Time - 36 hours per week
