Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Thomasville Emergency Department at Thomasville Medical Center. This full-time night shift (7pm-7am) position requires a strong nursing background in acute care and collaboration with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include leading the care team, assessing patients, and implementing individualized care plans while following evidence-based practices and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in appropriate state; if inactive for 5+ years and no licensure in another state, complete Board-approved refresher course.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate care as a nursing professional within the emergency department.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Use evidence-based practices to promote optimal health and support patients and families.
• Accountable for management and provision of care in alignment with policies and procedures.

It is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions and potentially admission to the hospital. Education:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Experience:One year of acute nursing experience required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.-Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
