Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for the Renal Unit at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role is full-time with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift, reporting to the Registered Nurse and supporting daily living activities and a clean, safe patient environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of the NAI program, and registration as NA I; one year of experience in assisted living is preferred and may be required in some units.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: One year preferred; One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse.
