Job summary

South Ogden Post Acute in South Ogden, UT is hiring a Night Shift CNA to provide compassionate resident care and assist with daily living activities from 6 PM to 6 AM.

We offer a competitive salary, on-the-job training, and Nursing Tuition Reimbursement of $500 per month toward a nursing program. Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification within 120 days is required.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or willingness to become certified within 120 days
• Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols
• Strong communication with residents and staff

Responsibilities

• Answer residents' call lights to determine needs.
• Turn and reposition residents in bed.
• Provide physical support for activities of daily living (getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Review dietary restrictions, allergies and preferences to ensure appropriate meals.
• Record food and fluid intake and output as required.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff and support resident comfort.

Training

Requirements

• Current CNA certification or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment
• Effective communication with coworkers and residents
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regard to long-term care

Job Duties

• Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
• Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
• Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
