Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to perform routine non-professional care under supervision, take and record vital signs, and collect specimens as part of patient care tasks in Overland Park, KS.

The role requires providing support to physicians and nurses, moving and turning patients, maintaining patient dignity, and participating in safety trainings. 2 years of experience preferred, with benefits including health and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient’s status and needs.
• Answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs.
• Transfers, moves and repositions patients, as needed.
• Monitors and records patient’s vital signs like heart rate, pulse temperature and blood pressure, as needed.
• Assists physicians and nurses during examination and treatment of the patient.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements.
• Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.
• Respects and regards the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
