Job summary

Visiting Angels Tri-Cities and Walla Walla is seeking compassionate Home Care Aide/C.N.A. to support clients in Walla Walla and surrounding areas. You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, medications reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed, under supervision.

This position requires Monday–Friday and weekend availability, with competitive pay and shift differentials. We provide free CPR/First Aid training and CEUs, flexible schedules, and thorough background

Qualifications

• Assist care recipient with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed bath and mouth, skin and hair care.
• Assist care recipient in use of toilet facilities, including bedpans.
• Assist care recipient in and out of bed, including the use of mechanical lifting equipment when applicable.
• Assist with walking, including use of walker and wheelchair when applicable.
• Remind or prompt for care recipient self-administration of medications.
• Record and report changes in the care recipient's physical condition, behavior or appearance to the designated supervisor.
• Document services delivered in accordance with agency care records, policies and procedures and submit weekly to the Visiting Angels office.

Responsibilities

• Assist care recipients with daily living activities in a home setting.
• Provide companionship and observe for safety during care episodes.

Job duties include

1. Assist care recipient with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed bath and mouth, skin and hair care.
2. Assist care recipient in use of toilet facilities, including bedpans.
3. Assist care recipient in and out of bed, including the use of mechanical lifting equipment when applicable.
4. Assist care recipient with walking, including use of walker and wheelchair when applicable.
5. Remind or prompt for care recipient self-administration of medications.
6. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required
7. Remind client to perform prescribed exercises that are ordered from a licensed Physical Therapist.
8. Measure and record fluid intake and output if required.
9. Perform light housekeeping duties.
10. Accompany or transport care recipient to appointments or for errands if required.
11. Record and report changes in the care recipient's physical condition, behavior or appearance to the designated supervisor.
12. Document services delivered in accordance with agency care records, policies and procedures and submit weekly to the Visiting Angels office.
