Job summary

Visiting Angels - Acton is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one home care for seniors, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

We offer flexible day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts, competitive pay, and a supportive office team. Prior CNA/LNA experience is preferred, with training and ongoing professional development available.

Qualifications

• CNA/LNA credential preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience caring for seniors, either professionally or personally
• Comfort with dementia/alzheimer's care is a plus
• Must be compassionate, dependable, patient and professional
• Must enjoy helping others and be comfortable with lifting up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders and document care via smartphone app
• Run errands and assist with grocery shopping
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Promote client safety, comfort, and independence

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current CNA or LNA license preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience caring for seniors and/or adults with disabilities, professionally or personally
• Dementia and Alzheimer's care experience is a plus
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
• Must genuinely enjoy helping others
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle
• Active automobile insurance (required)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out and complete documentation
