Job summary

East Gate Care & Rehab is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to deliver compassionate resident care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support a safe, comfortable environment under nursing supervision.

The role requires a Missouri CNA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable communication with residents and families. Prior LTC experience is preferred, and benefits are provided for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass a state-issued exam.
• CNA certification in Missouri required.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises.
• Provides for personal care and comfort.
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output.
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services.
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family.
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents’ clinical condition.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Available Shifts:

• Afternoons 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Nights 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend Doubles 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM
