Job summary

Arbor Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks compassionate CNAs to join our caring team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, hygiene, feeding, and mobility, while monitoring health and reporting changes to the nursing staff.

We offer competitive pay based on experience, PTO after 30 days, tuition reimbursement up to 5,000 per year, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must pass a state-issued CNA exam.
• Missouri CNA certification required.
• Six months of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, hygiene, bathing, and incontinence care.
• Assist with feeding and range of motion exercises.
• Provide personal care and comfort to residents.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to the nursing team.
• Support residents with ambulation and mobility as needed.

Essential Functions of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises
• Provides for personal care and comfort
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in facility
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents’ clinical condition
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred
• Must pass a state-issued exam
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
