Job summary

The Lutheran Home in Missouri is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants to provide compassionate daily care to residents in a long-term care setting. This full-time role offers a consistent two-week schedule and a day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care and hygiene
• Assist with feeding residents
• Weigh residents using scales
• Turn and position residents
• Transfer residents using body mechanics or lifting devices
• Assist with mobility needs and use of mobility aids
• Ensure safe use of medical equipment
• Keep residents' rooms clean and stocked
• Make/change beds
• Ambulate residents with minimal assistance
• Perform skin checks and report abnormalities to nurse
• Report abuse, neglect or changes in condition to nurse
• Communicate residents' requests/concerns promptly

The Lutheran Home is hiring Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) who have a heart for long-term care and a passion for making a difference. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assistresidents with daily personal care and hygiene
• Assistwith feeding residents
• Weigh residents using upright, chair, and mechanical lift scales
• Assistwith turning and positioning of residents
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention, as indicated in the care plan
• Assist residents with mobility needs, including safe use of wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and other mobility aids
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (mechanical lifts, side rails, braces, splints, oxygen, walkers, canes, and wheelchairs)
• Helpkeep residents’ rooms clean and properly supplied
• Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied)
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity
• Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, incidents, or changes in resident condition to the nurse
• Communicateresidents'requests or concerns in a timely manner

In this Full-time role, you’ll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week. We are hiring for the day shift from 6:45 AMto 7:15 PM.
