Job summary

Right at Home Fresno is seeking compassionate home care providers to support seniors in maintaining independence at home. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' residences, with flexible shifts.

We value professionalism, reliability, and person-centered care. A valid driver's license and insurance are preferred; training is provided, and opportunities to grow in the geriatric field are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
• Must pass a full employment background check.
• HCA Registration assistance may be provided at offer stage.
• TB skin test or clear recent test.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living and companion care.
• Assists with dressing/grooming and ambulation/transfers.
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanies clients to appointments and runs errands.
• Performs light housekeeping and medication reminders.
• Provides companionship and supports safety in the home.

A homemaker/companion provide non-medical home care which include: bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminder, companionship, transportation to client's doctor appointment, errands, and light housekeeping and so much more! As a CNA-(Certified Nursing Assistant) you will gain experience in the healthcare field by utilizing your skills, work while you go to school, be offered a flexible schedule, learn the Geriatric field and so much more!

We are hiring care providers who have ALL the skills and experience with:

Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence, Transfers-Hoyer, Gait, Slide Board.

The career requires your own vehicle to transport clients, valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.

Our shift needs are all days of the week from Monday to Sunday: AM/PM and short shifts (3-5 hours)

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs personal care activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):
Assist with Dressing/Grooming

Ambulation/Transfers (be able to lift 50 lbs)

Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

Performs light housekeeping activities

Medication reminders

Care of bed-bound clients

Use lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards and Hoyer Lifts

Provide Companionship

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

• Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance

• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check

• HCA Registration (We can assist at offer of employment)

• TB Skin test (can accept completed TB test not older than 90 days)
