Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for a 24-bed MICU unit focused on post-cardiac cath monitoring and continuous cardiac surveillance. The role supports RNs, CNCs, and monitor techs to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Applicants should hold a current NA I license and NA coursework from an accredited school. Basic Life Support is required within 30 days, with one year of experience preferred. The unit emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current state NA I license.
• Completion of NA course from an accredited school.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and blood sugars.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living; document and report changes.
• Measure and document input/output and weights.
• Assist nurse as needed.
• Answer call lights.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition/age.
• Distribute drinks and snacks.
• Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

More About Our Team

Join our team in a 24 bed unit staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (NAs), and monitor techs. This unit focuses on Pre & Post Cardiac Cath patients with 24 hr cardiac monitoring.

How You'll Contribute

• Monitor vital signs/blood sugars
• Assists patients with activities of daily living; Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
• Measure and document input/output and weights
• Assist nurse as needed
• Answer call lights
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
• Provide care appropriate to the condition/age of the patient
• Distribute drinks and/or snacks
• Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment.
• All other duties as assigned
