Job summary

Addus HomeCare in the United States is seeking a CNA to support seniors and people with disabilities living independently. This entry-level role offers flexible hours and a path to a rewarding career within a growing home-care leader.

As an Addus CNA, you will follow care plans, assist with personal care and household tasks, transport clients for appointments, and monitor health changes while maintaining safety and quality of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one year of in-home care services experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member, and report on completed tasks
• Support with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support with routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation
• Transport client to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition
