CHRISTUS Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, assisting with daily living activities and clinical procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a CNA training course, current state CNA certification, and CPR/BCLS certification; six months of acute or long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Licenses: Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Nurse Aide CNA who excels in this role is responsible for delivering basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, supporting patients' comfort and assisting with daily living activities and clinical procedures:

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We\'re Looking For

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Licenses: Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.

Schedule: 3x12, Days (5:45a - 5:45p), 3x12, Nights (5:45p-5:45a) or PRN Days, 12 hr. shifts
