Job summary

Maria Parham Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Henderson, NC. You will provide essential patient care under RN supervision, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and document care per unit standards.

The role includes maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting department throughput. A CNA certification and a high school diploma (preferred) are required, with comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is implied by CNA role.
• CNA certification required.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and tracks intake/output.
• Assists patients with bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and mobility.
• Observes and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps rooms and common areas clean and stocked.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.

How You’ll Contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant who excels in this role:

• Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.
• Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.

Requirements

Basic Life Support certification is required.

High School diploma preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required
