Job description

WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING A FULL-TIME DIETARY COOK.
Hiring CNA's
Sign-on Bonus $3,000 for Full-time employment

$600 after 90 days in good standing, then $600 every quarter until paid out.

Position Purpose:

Ensures that residents' personal care needs are met in accordance with their wishes and Care Plan Objectives.

Essential Functions of Position:
  • Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents’ needs and ensures call lights are within reach.
  • Checks on residents unable to call for help frequently.
  • Provides direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Explains procedures to residents.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living.
  • Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions.
  • Helps residents prepare for and transport to appointments, activities, and social programs.
  • Assists with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc., ensuring safety.
  • Provides incontinent care as needed.
  • Dresses residents appropriately for the weather.
  • Notifies supervisor if resident needs clothing.
  • Handles linens according to infection control guidelines.
  • Feeds residents requiring help and records meal intake.
  • Delivers and documents all snacks and supplements.
  • Offers fluids frequently to ensure hydration, as per care plan.
  • Implements daily nursing needs outlined by the resident's Care Plan or nurse managers.
  • Assists with mobility needs and transports residents as required.
  • Turns and repositions bedfast residents, alone or with assistance.
  • Records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and fluid intake/output as directed.
  • Monitors residents’ activities and reports irregularities.
  • Participates in and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
  • Reports changes in residents’ conditions to supervisor.
  • Cleans instruments and equipment after use.
  • Maintains cleanliness of residents' units and related areas.
  • Provides post-mortem care as instructed.
  • Accurately records all care provided.
  • Attends in-services and staff meetings.
  • Adheres to “Residents Rights” guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education / Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff. Must speak, read, and write English. Prior LTC nursing assistant experience preferred or equivalent education and experience. Completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program required. Good standing in the state registry is necessary.
