Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for a PRN role at Laredo West Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Laredo, TX. The CNA will provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with resident assessments and care plans.

The position requires a valid CNA license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 16 years of age. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, with duties including assisting residents with daily tasks and monitoring vital signs.

Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist residents with daily tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and moving.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse.
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
• Contribute knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to the Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Licensing Requirements

Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

Experience Requirements

Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Physical Demands

Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, sliding, and transferring residents, as well as standing, sitting, walking, speaking, driving, and balancing. The job requires the ability to lift and carry varying weights, and to perform tasks frequently throughout the shift.
