Job summary

Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Assist residents with customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing food intake, caring for hair and nails, moving residents from area to area, and responding to calls.
Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
Measure and record vital signs as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of condition to residents and the Charge Nurse.

Education and Training Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Licensing Requirements

Must hold a valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

Experience Requirements

Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Must be at least 16 years of age.
