Job summary

Lifespace Communities, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for Wesley Court in Abilene to provide direct patient care, assist residents with daily living activities, and follow care plans to support independence and comfort.

You will observe resident needs, report changes to the nurse, help maintain vital signs records, and uphold infection control standards while ensuring a safe, compassionate environment. A high school diploma and CNA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
• Certified nursing aide licensure required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers).
• Transport residents to dining rooms and events, and initiate resident needs and safety by observing and reporting changes.
• Coordinate with nursing team to record vital signs and maintain records of ADLs; ensure infection control standards.

A few details about the role: Follow all care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform daily living activities such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, transfer and move residents, and transport residents to dining rooms and various events and activities. Initiate resident needs, assessment, and safety by observing and reporting any changes or unusual findings to the nurse. Coordinate with nursing team members to record accurate vital signs as well as maintain records of ADLs. Administer standard precautions and infection control standards by providing a clean and safe environment. Promptly answer call lights and on a regular basis conduct assesses resident’s needs and verify needs of the resident are met.
