Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Certified Nursing Aide at the Meadow Lake community in Tyler, Texas. You will provide direct patient care per care plans, assist with daily living activities, and support a compassionate, mission-driven senior living team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
• Certified nursing aide licensure required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform daily living activities (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, dining and events).
• Initiate resident needs and safety by observing and reporting changes to the nurse.
• Coordinate with the nursing team to record vital signs and maintain ADLs records.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and follow infection control standards.
• Answer call lights promptly and assess residents’ needs to ensure they are met.

A few details about the role:

Follow all care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform daily living activities such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, transfer and move residents, and transport residents to dining rooms and various events and activities. Initiate resident needs, assessment, and safety by observing and reporting any changes or unusual findings to the nurse. Coordinate with nursing team members to record accurate vital signs as well as maintain records of ADLs. Administer standard precautions and infection control standards by providing a clean and safe environment. Promptly answer call lights and on a regular basis conduct assesses resident’s needs and verify needs of the resident are met.
