Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Medication Technician at Wesley Court in Abilene, TX. This role focuses on preparing and administering medications under nurse supervision, documenting care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting residents with daily living activities.

The successful candidate will hold a state-licensed medication aide credential, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably some related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have and maintain medication aide licensure per state requirements.
• Some directly related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up medication for residents and provide medication, under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders.
• May order/reorder medications.
• Record and document all medication, treatment and care provided for residents.
• Take and record vital signs of residents.
• Prepare monthly summaries, may take off physician orders and prepares chart for new residents.
• Respond to resident calls and requests.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
