Beloit Health System is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and operating specialized imaging equipment for high-quality patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT-N or NMTCB certification, BLS, and strong communication skills, with a commitment to radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
  • Current ARRT-N or NMTCB certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT, PET, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Review patient histories and physician orders to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care instructions.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Follow radiation safety principles and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the public.
  • Perform quality control testing on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals as required.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating specialized imaging equipment, and providing exceptional patient care throughout the examination process. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
  • Current Nuclear Medicine certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from Radiologist
