Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking Radiology Technologists to join the Diagnostic Imaging team in Beloit, Wisconsin. The Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and high-quality images in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology training, current ARRT certification, Wisconsin licensure, and CPR within 90 days of hire, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Wisconsin state licensure.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
  • Ability to problem-solve and function independently.
  • Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.
  • Must adhere to regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing questions.
  • Position patients to obtain quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Review images for quality before interpretation submission.
  • Maintain patient records in EMR and PACS.
  • Follow ALARA and radiation safety principles.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to coordinate care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Keep imaging rooms and equipment clean and ready.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation.

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologists to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
  • Review images for quality and completeness before submission for interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
  • Adhere to radiation safety principles, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities and departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation. as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
  • CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
  • Ability to problem-solve and function independently.
  • Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists
