Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Ability to be forklift certified.
• Familiar with hazardous materials procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without assistance.
• Load freight according to Bills of Lading, delivery receipts, and labels.
• Plan loading to maximize space and reduce damage risk.
• Hook and unhook trailers, crank landing gear as needed.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks, tractors, and other company equipment.
• Clean and sweep dock, trailers, yard, and work areas.
• Operate a Class C straight truck safely and legally.
• Record shipment quantities via bills of lading and tally sheets.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Adhere to state/federal safety regulations and company policies.
