Job summary

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of experience, and certification within 1 year. Proficiency in Excel and geolocation tools is essential; may testify in court as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Certification as Cellular Technology Subject Matter Expert within 1 year of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record; provide 10-year driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of mobile devices and digital media for evidence in criminal cases.
• Interpret location-based evidence from diverse sources (cell phones, tablets, vehicles, IoT, etc.).
• Navigate data from digital device extractions and apply knowledge of file systems and OS artifacts.
• Ensure evidence integrity and authenticity; present findings clearly; may testify as expert witness.
