Legacy Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and student-focused Certified Middle School Science Teacher for one of our partner schools located on the Northside of Jacksonville.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for science education and the ability to create an engaging classroom environment where students can explore scientific concepts, develop critical-thinking skills, and achieve academic success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Florida Teaching Certificate or SOE preferred/required.
• Certification appropriate for Middle Grades Science or Science.
• Strong knowledge of middle school science concepts.
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective instruction in Middle School Science.
• Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans.
• Incorporate hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning when appropriate.
• Differentiate instruction to address varying student learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress and use data to guide instruction.
• Prepare students for applicable state and school assessments.
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and required student documentation.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities.
