Job summary

St Anthony's is seeking a Full Time Certified Medication Aide on Day Shift in New Mexico. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CMA administers medications and medicated creams per standards and state regulations.

Requirements include an active CNA and CMA certification in NM, plus at least one year of CNA experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved medication aide training course.
• Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant training program.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience as a CNA.

• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and document administration per policy.
• Maintain medication supply, clean and restock medicine carts and medicine room.
• Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
• Perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Medicine Aide administers medications and medicated creams within the standards of practice as permitted by their Certification and per state regulations.

• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and document administration per policy.
