Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Warwick, Rhode Island, is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team. You will deliver care to residents in a warm, home-like setting, while ensuring accurate medication administration and ongoing communication with the care team.

As part of our community, you will complete state-managed medication protocols, maintain MAR documentation, and participate in training and competency reviews.

Qualifications

• Must hold state Medication Technician license and competency per state protocol.
• Complete quarterly competency review under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Complete state-approved training in drug administration and obtain certificate.
• Competency assessed quarterly by RCD.
• Current CNA certification or completed CHHA/homemaker training.
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate medication questions/concerns to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Notify significant changes in resident status to RCD.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document/notify RCD of PRN meds administration.
• Maintain documentation on PRN meds and related records.
• Assist in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
