Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our Warwick, RI community. The CMT will administer medications and deliver resident care in a warm, home-like setting, and will work under the supervision of RCD/RN.

Requirements include a state Medication Technician License, quarterly competency reviews, CPR certification (or within six months), and a state-approved drug administration course. Benefits are provided and training is paid.

Qualifications

• Must have state Medication Technician License
• Competency review quarterly
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Complete state approved training course in drug administration
• Competency evaluated by RCD quarterly
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or completed CHHA/homemaker training
• High School education preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD)
• Notifies RCD of significant changes in resident status
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of PRN meds
• Documents/ records PRN meds and affect
• Recognizes and assists in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation
