Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide medication administration and direct care within CRSS Assisted Living Facilities. This role supports residents needing 24-hour supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, housekeeping, and general care needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Missouri
• Must have completed the Certified Medication Technician training in Missouri
• Willing to complete Insulin Administration Training within 3 months of hire
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR
• Maintain all required employment certifications
• Able to perform duties with minimal direction from Resident Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers and documents medications per regulations (excluding certain injections)
• Performs blood glucose testing and insulin administration as ordered
• Maintains glucometer calibration and records
• Observes and records resident responses to medications
• Monitors and reports changes in residents’ condition
• Maintains accurate records of controlled substances
• Orders and monitors meds and supplies
• Administers specified treatments and records
• Assists with meals, hygiene, bathing, and daily living activities
• Responds to emergencies and disaster situations
• Participates in training and quality assurance
• Maintains a safe, clean environment for residents and staff
• Attends required meetings and in-services
