Job summary

Diversicare is seeking a Certified Med Aide/Tech to join our dynamic team. You will assist with medication administration under licensed nurse supervision and document all actions in the resident’s chart.

Qualifications

• Must complete state-approved school of medication administration.
• Must hold an active CNA certification or equivalent.
• Must maintain a current state-issued acknowledgment card.

Responsibilities

• Administer PRN medications under licensed nurse supervision.
• Pour, pass, and document routine meds and PRN doses.
• Document PRNs per State Standards in the resident chart.
• Observe and report medication reactions and side effects to the nurse.
• Record vital signs before medications that may affect vitals.
• Prepare and document medications before administration.
• Notify nurse in emergencies and document events.
• Count narcotics as directed and document accordingly.
