Diversicare is seeking a Certified Med Aide/Tech to support resident care under licensed nurse supervision. You will administer medications (PRN as authorized), organize medication duties, and document accurately in resident charts.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed state approved school of medication administration.
• Must carry current acknowledgment card or certification issued by state agency.
• Must be willing to abide by restrictions placed on his/her job by state agency.
• Must be a certified nursing assistant.

Responsabilités

• Administers PRN medications under supervision and authorization.
• Organizes medication duties to pour, pass, and document routine meds and PRN meds per nurse instruction.
• Documents all PRNs according to State Standards in resident charts.
• Observe and report reactions and side effects of medications.
• Take and record vital signs prior to medications that may affect vital signs.
• Prepare and document medications to be administered and record in the resident chart.
• Count narcotics and document as directed by the charge nurse.
