Qualifications

• Certification as Certified Medication Technician (CMT) required.
• Knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under nurse supervision.
• Maintains medication records accurately in the chart and computer system.
• Records vital signs as assigned and notes changes in resident condition.
• Observes and reports any adverse reactions to medications.
• Ensures infection control and proper hygiene in the medication room.
• Communicates with medical staff and other departments as needed.
