Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring part-time and full-time Medication Technicians for evening and overnight shifts. The role supports nursing duties, medication administration, and coordination with medical and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate has CPR certification, a valid MD Medication Technician license, and a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree is a plus, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and patient care.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in MD.
• High School diploma/GED or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable engagement in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting).
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for coordinated care.
• Manage and restock medical supplies as needed.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.

What You'll Do

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting etc.)
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
• Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations

What We're Looking For

• CPR certification is required
• High School diploma/ GED or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in MD
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
