Job summary

Eden Heights of Eden is seeking a Medication Technician to assist with medication administration and daily living activities for residents. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to document care accurately using electronic records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
• Meet health requirements including TB and all immunizations.
• Pass background check and random drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications using company software to document resident records.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating).
• Observe and record residents' conditions.
• Assist with transfers in and out of bed.
• Clean rooms and change linens.
• Deliver messages, greet and direct visitors, answer phones.
• Support PSL service goals for residents.
• Demonstrate compassion and desire to work with the elderly.

Position Summary

Medication Technicians assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Wellness Director. Duties also include providing assistance with activities of daily living to our residents.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver medications with the use of company chosen software to document resident electronic records.
• Assist residents with all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Observe and record resident's condition.
• Provide help with resident transferring in and out of bed.
• Clean rooms and change linens.
• Deliver message, greet and direct visitors, answer phones.
• Support PSL service goals to all our residents.
• Have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
