Premier Senior Living in Avoca, PA is seeking a Medication Technician to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. You will administer medications as ordered by physicians, support residents with daily living activities, and document care using our software.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• CPR certification on hire or obtained during orientation.
• Meet health requirements including TB and immunizations; pass background checks and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications using company software to document records.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Observe and record residents' condition; assist with transfers.
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and support PSL service goals.

MEDICATION TECHNICIAN - Full Time, Part Time

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

Position Summary

Medication Technicians assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Wellness Director. Duties also include providing assistance with activities of daily living to our residents.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver medications with the use of company chosen software to document resident electronic records.
• Assist residents with all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Observe and record resident's condition
• Provide help with resident transferring in and out of bed
• Clean rooms and change linens
• Deliver message, greet and direct visitors, answer phones
• Support PSL service goals to all our Residents
• Have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation.
• Meet all health requirements including TB including all required immunizations.
• Pass background check and random drug tests.
