Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to support a busy clinic in Annapolis, MD. You will perform intake, vital signs, and daily medication passes, while maintaining accurate records and a confidential, efficient workflow.

The position offers a 2-week orientation, training on the job, and opportunities to work with nursing staff in a secure facility. Prior CMT certification is required, with emphasis on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Certified Medication Technician program.
• Current Medication Technician Certification valid in the state where the facility is located.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Pleasant telephone manner.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Can work effectively in a lock facility.

Openings Available: Part-time Day Shift (7a-7:30p and every other weekend)

Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Initial intake screening on new receptions
• Taking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake forms

• Maintaining medication records
• Typing of various reports, letters, and memoranda
• Answering telephone and process calls
• Maintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all times

• Maintaining a pleasant working attitude
• Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated

This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

(Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.)
