Job summary

Lunar Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications to residents of an Ohio-licensed residential care facility. Under RN or LPN direction, the CMA follows orders, MAR, and facility policy to protect resident safety and dignity.

The role requires current CMA certificate in Ohio, ability to read/write/speak English, and competence in documentation, medication handling, and communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current, active Ohio CMA certificate required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to follow orders, MAR entries, and safety procedures.
• Successful completion of orientation, training, and competency validation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and routes permitted for an Ohio CMA under supervising nurse direction.
• Document each medication administration promptly in the MAR.
• Monitor resident status and report concerns to the supervising nurse.
• Maintain medication storage and security per policies and law.
• Support infection prevention and safe medication administration practices.
