Qualifications

• CMA certification and current certification as listed in the job requirements.
• One+ year CMA experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Knowledge of IDD etiology, rights of consumers, and active treatment concepts.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, consumers, and guardians.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Review health records daily and monitor patient care plans.
• Assist the nurse in responding to acute illnesses and injuries; obtain vital signs.
• Communicate medication administration issues with the nurse.
• Attend physician appointments as requested.
