Qualifications

• Follow facility policies and procedures for administering medications.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets and reports.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
• Report medication discrepancies and changes in resident condition.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer prescribed medications as ordered.
• Record and report all medication administration details promptly.
• Maintain narcotics counts at the start and end of shifts.
• Communicate with the Nurse Supervisor and Director of Nursing as required.
• Ensure medications are stored and disposed of per policy.
